"I thought that the shot of the Avril in the bathroom when
Charles was in there with his back to her was one of the best
shots I’ve seen in a long time. It was creepy as hell and laid
the perfect foundations for his advance towards her. That
genuinely made me jump and that doesn’t happen very often, so
thank you!
It’s written extremely well. The reference to the ‘fresh
start’ and the subsequent unpacking of boxes, including photos
and plectrums which reminded Avril of what she was trying to
get over, was really well executed. With or without the
appearance of Charles, she was a lady clearly haunted.
Sarah Misch’s acting was superb. For me, the stand-out moment
was that beautiful smile at the simple pleasure of hanging up
the ceiling decoration. It represented so much hope that the
fresh start might actually turn out okay. Excellent.
This was a gem of a short - massive well done to all involved.
Well written, well acted and well presented."
